Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
The Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is responsible for overseeing the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The Committee is composed of 12 experts that meet twice a year in Geneva. Since the Convention has been ratified by 60 states, the number of expert members can be increased to a maximum of 18. The first meeting was held in February 2009.
