Association for the Promotion of a National Human Rights Institution
Despite the international agreements signed by Switzerland, the country still has no national observatory of human rights. On 6th June 2006, promotors of an independant Swiss human rights institution have joined forces, setting up a body with a number of heavyweights from the political and non-governmental scene. Goal of the new Association for the Promotion of a Swiss Instittuion for Human Rights is to lobby the government, who works on a project since already four years.
