Convention against discrimination of women: Periodic report 2008-2009
On 2 April 2008, the Swiss Federal Council approved the Third Report on the Implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) which was this timecompiled by the FDFA. It was discussed by the 44th Commission on the Status of Women taking place in New York between 20 Juli and 7 August.

The NGO Shadow Report was presented to the public on 26 April 2008. More than 20 Swiss NGOs contibuted to this report, which was coordinated and edited by the Coordination Post Beijing Switzerland and the Swiss section of Amnesty Inernational.
