Migrants' Week in September 2008
Solidarité sans frontières (Sosf) organises from 8 to 14 September 2008 a week of activities on the issues of migrant persons in Switzerland. About 80 local activities are planed throughout Switzerland, aiming at raising a new way of looking at migrants. In its press release of 13 August 2008, Solidarity without Borders writes: "Today, migration is at best looked at as an economical factor, and at worst as a terrible threat to Switzerland. We want migration to be accepted not only as a historical reality with a future, but also as a possibility for people(s) to meet" (translation ed.)
On 13 September 2008 in Bern, a nationwide demonstration is planed with the slogan "right to stay for all!", i.e. «Bleiberecht für alle!» . The participant will ask for the collective regularisation of foreigners who live in Switzerland since many years.
