Federal Council writes third report on implementation of CEDAW
The Federal Council adopted on 2 April 2008 the third report on the implementation of the UN Convention against Discrimination of Women (CEDAW). The NGO Coordination Post Beijing took this opportunity to publish a statement highlighting some issues concerning women's rights and gender equality in Switzerland. The NGO shadow report will be published on 26 April 2008 in Bern. It contains contributions by more than 20 Swiss NGOs and was edited by the Swiss Section of Amnesty International and the NGO Coordination Post Beijing Switzerland.
